Weight loss secret revealed

Hey friends,
While swimsuit and travel season is soon approaching, I decided it would be best to help clear up some confusion that some of you have been having when it comes to different eating styles and weight loss.

Do these terms confuse you? 

  • High fat, low carb
  • Low calorie
  • Low fat
  • Low carb, high protein
  • Keto, vegan, plant-based, flexitarian
  • Paleo
  • Whole 30

I know you are frustrated. I know that all you want is to have results and you feel so confused as to what to do and how to filter through these eating types. Should you try one? Should you not? How do you even start?

I have been there, and with some coaching, you can find the clarity and results that you desire.

So let us explore these ideas simply so that you can have more confidence when it comes to choosing food that keeps you lean and encourages your weight loss as well as helping you to choose which style may be best for you. Hopefully, this chat brings more clarity on which type may be best for you.

Now there are a few choices listed. Quick weight loss is possible, but it is usually a bit extreme and may not last very long, therefore, it is good for short term goals.  Us nutritionists usually like to recommend against quick weight loss for serval reasons, but for some people, it can be okay once healthy eating practices are continued after the goal is reached.

It can be risky for some who have tendencies to do all or nothing and may encourage binge eating cycles. This type of eating would not be recommended for you. You can lose a bunch of weight and then gain it back after you hit your goal by neglecting the eating style you have chosen. It is a great idea to make the eating style choice you make to be one you can actually do until you reach your goal.

There are ways to do weight loss healthily for short term goals, there is a strategy you can take however for long term goals, slow and gradual habit-based weight loss is way more up your alley. I want to share your weight loss choices available to you this  June and July and if you have a long term goal, private coaching if for you.

Once your plan emphasizes more real foods, more greens and vegetables, and less sugary snacks and processed foods you will start to lose weight. Exercise and sleep do play a big role and using components a few low carb days a week can do your body some good. Carbs are essential for our brains to function however they are not mandatory everyday for weight loss goals to be achieved. Once we can find some balance we will notice great results.

It gets easy on carb eating meals to overdo on the rice, white bread, potatoes, eat too many pies, pastries, cakes because those foods are not very filling and can be sometimes addictive. This is when we start to pile on the extra pounds.

It gets easy when going healthy to overdo on the fats too. Eating way too many oils, nuts, seeds than our body needs on a day and can add up our total energy intake quicker than we think.

It is also easy to think about going low carb and eating way too much animal meats and eating large portions of proteins.

The point is, look for guidance when considering any one of these eating strategies and be mindful of not overdoing any one ingredient by extremely reducing another.

The secret to weight loss, therefore, is simply not necessarily any one of those dietary practices but in choosing the method that you can stick to whether you travel, work long hours, have kid school pick up runs to make, dining for work purposes etc.
