Self care is a must

We used to think that having coaches, nutritionists and trainers were a luxury and similar to self-care practices but this new age is proving to find that these are becoming essentials.Let us not forget that while we are at home, many are packing on the extra weight and while that is okay for a week or so, long term there are still health concerns like heart disease, blood pressure.Self-care rituals that I love, that you may also enjoy

 

We used to think that having coaches, nutritionists and trainers were a luxury and similar to self-care practices but this new age is proving to find that these are becoming essentials.

Let us not forget that while we are at home, many are packing on the extra weight and while that is okay for a week or so, long term there are still health concerns like heart disease, blood pressure.

Self-care rituals that I love, that you may also enjoy: 


Epsom and essential oil baths, moisturizing, reading, horizontal time, sun time for 5 -10 minutes for a Vitamin D charge, moon baths laying under the stars and moonlight, listening to podcasts, audiobooks, watching funny or inspirational movies, face masks and laying down, hot showers and washing my hair with no rush, crafts, learning new hobbies or creative DIY projects, listening to music, dancing, recording videos for you all, creating in the kitchen, organizing, feeding my body with healthy vegetables.

Spending time with God in nature, spiritual practices, prayers strengthens our souls, fights depression and builds courage within us. Let that light shine at this time, because you were born to be you and be true. This to me always stands true when people ask me where I get my joy and inner strength and perseverance, the power is greater than me. Finding time to be grateful and feel grateful is really and truly what brings me joy.

Today is day 17/30 in my personal yoga challenge that I committed to this month. I am such a fan of growth as you know, so letting go of old habits and patterns that no longer served me and making space for the new chapter, while being challenging makes me able to show up and serve you better.

This week is all about focus. I know you have been feeling tighter in the clothes you have and it depresses you. Losing weight at this time could be the best time as you finally have control over your environment. It does take time, perseverance, failed attempts but with consistency it is possible. To start, it is all about the ingredients you keep around you and what you buy to keep at home which will make the difference.

 

What YOU can control right now:

For those of you control freaks who may have things a bit in common with me. We cannot control other people, or necessarily always our exterior lives but if we focus on what we can control, this makes it way easier to get into a healthy body, mind and spirit.

Focus on what you can control:

What ingredients you put in your mouth, your physical movement, your actions, and reactions to external triggers saying no to conversations and people that drain you take ownership and responsibility for you feed your mind or don’t. Are you obsessing over the COVID news and daily deaths to the point that it is making you depressed and scared every day? Or are you learning a new subject, studying, practicing your talents and getting to know love and share more with yourself and your loved ones around you.

Focussing on your wellness and health is one of the best ways to make sure that you survive through this.
